His acupuncture technique for pediatric neurological rehabilitation has been included in the pediatric guidelines of Chinese Traditional Medicine. He has published 288 papers and obtained 6 national invention patents.Professor Liu has trained 25 doctoral and master students. He has trained 260 medical talents for children rehabilitation in China. He has authored books such as Atlas of Early Intervention Training for Children's Brain Development, Practical Acupuncture Science for Children, and Rehabilitation Training for Children with Motor retardation.Professor Liu was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Golden Needle Award in World Traditional Medicine.
